Welcome to Marlee May,

Established in 1985, my father’s business in Saddlery and equestrian accessories has grown to be one of the prestigious leading saddle manufacturing companies in the Southern Hemisphere. His skills as a saddle maker taught by the century old saddlery’s of Europe has inspired me to create Marlee May luxury leather goods.

Peter Horobin Saddlery has the same kind of service Gucci or Hermes had 100 years ago.. We provide quality like no other Saddlery in Australia does and I want to be able to continue this through with Marlee May.

We may be 100 years behind these top fashion houses but this is what I like about it because it creates a special niche in a time that the 21^st century doesn’t usually get the chance to offer.

Marlee May styles are not based on mass production but on uniqueness. Each piece is individually handcrafted concentrating on the finest details. The highest quality exotic

leathers and cow hides are used with world’s finest fittings and zips.

I thrive on everyday living, gardening, hunting, riding, cars, fashion, travel for my inspiration. I travel a lot so I love culture, but I love places and things that really transform us, they take us someplace else, even just for a moment, Old Hollywood, and the lives of Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly. All of these things have one thing in common, they have no age. This is what I look for to inspire my designs, because I want them to be timeless..

Leather is innate to me, it is in my blood, so finding the best of the best is not a problem,

We are always disccovering something new and exciting in the leather game. We collect leathers from all over the world, Europe, Exotic skins from South Africa, Australia.

Marlee May is catering for the customer who is timeless. Who appreciates quality and really personifies a Marlee May to the way they look and their style. I don’t want to create a bag that wears my customer, I want my customer to wear the bag, and wear it with pride. I am only interested in depth and quality of experience. I want to create a product that is meaningful and  beautiful.
